There are two great walks around Kings Canyon, the 6km Rim Walk and the 2km Kings Creek Walk.
The Rim Walk is what we follow today. It includes several lookout points, bush tucker and a quick swim.
First off, the most notable place we pass is locally known as Priscilla's Crack. This area is famous for being a setting at the end of the movie Priscilla: Queen of the Desert. After that is will be forever known as Priscilla's Crack.
Bush Plums are found all around this area of the country and they are edible. The only problem is that they taste like grass. Not very nice at all, but if you were stuck out here, I suppose they would be part your regular diet.
A recommendation that you should take notice of any signs such as the one for cliff safety on the rim of Kings Canyon.
This is an important sign warning you of tourists ahead.
The Garden of Eden is a small water hole that's only a quick side trip from the main Rim Walk. Here you can cool off. It does takes a bit of a hike to get back there.
Wildlife abounds at Kings Canyon, especially near the water hole. Where there is water, there is life.
Panoramic views around the canyon. It is a very breathtaking spot. Just make sure you have plenty of water, at least one liter for each hour you plan to be out.
